What is Nano Brows?Nano brows (Machine hair strokes) is a minimally invasive permanent makeup technique where pigment in implanted into the skin using an ultra fine needle on a cosmetic tattoo machine. This technique creates hair like strokes making it look realistic and natural. Nano brows heals beautifully and naturally over time making this a timeless option when choosing permanent makeup. It is suitable for most skin types including but not limited to oily and mature.
-
Does nano brows hurt? This technique is minimally invasive which means that there is barely any bleeding or trauma caused to the skin. Most client's describe the feeling as an "annoying or light scratch”. Seconday numbing is used throughout the process. The majority clients rate the pain level at a 1-4 out of 10.
-
Can I get nano brows if I have previous pmu?Depending on your previous pmu, I will be able to work on them. Brows must be at least 85-90% faded in order for me to able to go over them with nano. Otherwise, I recommend getting laser tattoo removal for the best/quickest way to remove your previous pmu. My goal is to make your brows look as natural as possible on the day of, as well as years down the line. If you are unsure if your brows are faded enough for me to work on, please email me at soulmadebrows@outlook.com in order for me to assess them.
-
Do you numb the brows?I do not numb the brows prior to the procedure since this can alter the texture of your skin making it more complicated for the needle to enter the skin. However, I do use secondary numbing through out the procedure once the skin is already "broken into" (after the first pass).
-
Will I need a touch-up?I suggest for most clients to get a touch-up 6-8 weeks after their initial session. I consider this touch-up the "perfecting session" where we assess how they've healed and make any changes such as darkening, fixing any areas that have healed patchy, or making the brows slightly thicker. Oily skin types and clients with previous permanent makeup will most likely need a touch up session.
-
Will it look like my real brows? The goal is to always make your brows look as natural as possible. I believe that less is more and like to start a bit more conservation with any initial session because we can always add more but we can never take back.
-
Is there any downtime? Most clients can return to their normal lives right away. It's crucial to follow the aftercare instructions carefully to ensure the best results. Avoid sun exposure, heavy sweating, and applying makeup on your brows for the first 7 days post appointment. All initial sessions will receive an after care kit on appointment day with all the essentials needed to care for your brows and should last to use for after the 6-8 week touch up appointment as well.
-
How do you choose the shape?I shape your brows based on your facial features and existing brow hair. I use a scientific method and the golden ratio rule to ensure your brow shape is the most complimentary to your face.
-
How do you choose the color?A lot of thought goes into choosing the perfect color for you. Some of these things include looking at your natural hair color & skin tone. One thing I always tell my clients is that we can always start more conservative by going with a lighter color at first and then darken it up during the touch-up.
